It *has* been a while. ... Nice to be back, though. ;)

Ah, yes, I do love all the various nibs available. A nice cursive italic, semi-flex, perhaps? That might be fun to do swirly things with. Geez. I never thought of doing certificates with them. Capital idea though. Thanks! :)

The fountain pen network has been invaluable in locating parts and stuff I've very much enjoyed playing with. I even managed to revive a couple of old treasures that had been sitting in a drawer for some 20 odd years ago. Oddly enough, I found the parts in France and ordered them out. It was well worth it for the fun of seeing these lovely old pens put back into service -- though my hand is as deplorable as any man's... ;) Still, its fun to write the odd piece by hand... ;)

How long does it take to write a story longhand? Well, curiously enough, not much longer than it takes to key it at 100 wpm, then revise it several to a hundred times. Somehow there's more time to think; to capture some units of grace when one feels pen meet paper. Of course, then it's quite a personal thing, which I think is sort of ... good.

Hope to see you again soon, CJ. It feels like coming home again to resume posting here on blog.uk. I'll catch up on what you've been up to in the interval. :) That should be fun as well.

Best,

win
The words, the song, the voice and the discipline to use it as she does here. A splendid artist, a great friend and colleague.
